One database, six views. Click around.

Omniviu brings notes, knowledge, tasks, projects and appointments together in one place – right inside your WordPress. Shaped around your workflows, whether you work alone or together as a team. And because everything feels familiar, you’ll feel at home from the very first click.

  • Runs on ordinary shared hosting

Just PHP and MySQL. No Node.js, no Docker, no extra server.

  • No cloud, no trackers

No external fonts, no Gravatar requests, no cloud services in operation.

  • One price per website

As many people as you like. No per-seat subscription.

From the to-do list to the company wiki.

  • Tasks & to-dos

As a list, a board or in the calendar. With subtasks, status, due dates and assignees.

  • Projects

Schedule on the timeline, progress in percent, tracked time per project.

  • Wiki & knowledge

Pages nested as deep as you like, with version history and fast search.

  • Clients & contacts

Client records as a database, linked to projects and tasks.

  • Minutes & notes

Take notes together in real time, with comments and mentions.

  • Appointments & content plans

Due dates, appointments and content plans in the calendar – move entries by drag and drop.

For everyone who wants a home of their own.

Agencies & freelancers

Every client gets their own teamspace. Projects with subtasks, time tracking per project, client access with exactly the permissions you grant. And new people cost nothing extra.

Law firms, practices, trades

Knowledge, files and projects stay on your server or with your host. No third-party cloud in operation. Private entries make sure everyone only sees what they’re meant to see.

Clubs, associations, education

Shared wiki, minutes, task boards. Ten members or two hundred – the price stays the same.

Switching tools

The direct import from Notion brings over pages, databases, views, images and comments. Anything that couldn’t be imported is listed in the final report.

WordPress professionals

Installs like any plugin. Existing WordPress accounts and roles, no separate login. A system status in the admin spots typical hosting issues.

Write together. Even on simple hosting.

Several people work on the same page at the same time. Sidebar, databases and titles update for everyone – without WebSockets, without an extra server.

Pages & editor

  • Block editor with slash menu, callouts and web bookmarks
  • Subpages as deep as you like, link with “@”
  • Version history, trash and undo – even outside the editor
  • Duplicate pages, databases and entries – or just the structure as a template
  • Around 1,500 icons, all emojis or your own icons
  • Light, dark or follow the system – everyone chooses for themselves
  • Interface in English and German, set per person

Collaboration

  • Write together in real time – even on shared hosting, without WebSockets
  • Comments on text passages, mentions, notifications
  • Daily email digest, can be switched off per person

Databases

  • Relations, rollups, status, progress bars and sub-items
  • Personal views that don’t get in anyone’s way
  • Embedded databases that only show what belongs to the page
  • Charts straight from your data
  • Any page as a PDF, all entries of a view in one PDF
  • Export a database as an archive and import it again

Time tracking

  • One-click timer that keeps running on the server
  • Add time afterwards, with a note and “billable”
  • Totals per entry, including sub-items and as a project total

Permissions & privacy

  • Teamspaces, a private area and sharing per page
  • Private entries in shared databases
  • Protected file storage, only accessible to authorised people
  • Access via WordPress roles, no separate login

Direct import from Notion

Connect your Notion workspace, pick pages and databases and bring them into a teamspace. Alternatively, use a Notion export ZIP file.

  1. Connect

Enter your Notion access token. It is stored encrypted and never leaves your server.

  2. Select

Pick pages and databases – right down to individual entries.

  3. Check

The pre-check shows how much will be imported and roughly how long it will take.

  4. Import

Follow the progress, pause and resume. At the end, a report lists everything that couldn’t be imported.

What gets imported: Content with formatting, images and files, icons, databases with relations and rollups, sub-items, views with filters and sorting, people, original dates and authors, and open comments if you like.

Questions people often ask.

Everything else is in the Docs.

Is Omniviu a WordPress plugin?

Yes. You install Omniviu like any other plugin on your WordPress website. The app then runs at /app/ on your site, and people sign in with their existing WordPress accounts.

Can I bring my content over from Notion?

Yes, with the direct import from Notion: pages, databases with relations and rollups, views, images, files and, if you like, comments. Importing from a Notion export ZIP file works too. A final report shows anything that couldn’t be imported.

More in the docs

What do I need to run Omniviu?

A WordPress website with PHP and MySQL or MariaDB, as offered by ordinary shared hosting. No Node.js, no Docker, no extra server. The app runs at /app/ on your site.

Can I install Omniviu on my existing website?

Yes. We recommend a separate WordPress installation just for the app, for example at app.your-domain.com. That keeps backups and updates separate, and the theme or plugins of your public website can’t get in the way. WordPress multisite networks are not supported at the moment.

More in the docs

Does real-time collaboration work on my hosting?

Yes, Omniviu doesn’t need WebSockets for it. Very cheap plans sometimes throttle lots of small requests – the system status in the admin will point this out.

Where is my data stored?

In your WordPress database and in protected file storage on your server. Omniviu doesn’t send anything to cloud services during operation.

Is Omniviu GDPR-compliant?

Omniviu is built to be privacy-friendly: all data stays on your server, with no trackers and no cloud services. Whether your use is GDPR-compliant also depends on your hosting and your processes – Omniviu takes care of the hardest parts for you.

How do I back up Omniviu?

With the backup you already use for WordPress – a plugin or your host. Important: back up the database and the uploads folder together. You can restore individual pages from the version history and the trash.

More in the docs

Can I export my content?

Any page or entry as a PDF, and several entries of a view in one PDF. Databases can be exported in full as an archive and imported again – as a backup or to move them to another teamspace or website. There is no Markdown or CSV export.

More in the docs

What happens when my licence expires?

Omniviu keeps working. You just won’t get new features, updates or support until you renew.

How many people can use Omniviu?

As many as you like per website. The plans only differ in the number of websites.

Can I use Omniviu on my phone?

Yes, in the browser on phones and tablets. There are no native apps.

What happens to my data if I delete the plugin?

It stays where it is. Tables and file storage are not removed when you delete the plugin, and a reinstall will find them again.
